(DUBAI AIR SHOW – NOVEMBER 11, 2007) Gianni Versace S.p.A of Milan, Italy, in collaboration with TAG Aircraft Interiors Limited (TAG-AI), has completed the design and manufacture of another custom element from its impressive executive jet interiors catalogue: a reclining armchair this time suited for the interiors of large-cabin Boeing BBJ and Airbus CJ. A previous prototype design for the cabin interiors of Global XRS private jets was presented last year at the NBAA convention in Orlando. The new armchair again carries Versace’s signature look and is displayed to the aviation public at Dubai Air Show in November 2007.

Showcased for the first time at the 2007 European Business Aviation Convention (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland, the Versace/TAG-AI catalogue covers the interior design applications for Bombardier Global XRS, Gulfstream 550, Boeing BBJ and Airbus ACJ aircraft. The catalogue is a limited-issue, collector’s item, superbly designed silk-bound product that is presented only to exclusive clientele, and displays ultramodern and beautifully conceived interior completions for aircraft.

The new armchair is characterized, as in the Versace Home Couture collection, by a clean approach to design and combination of the highest quality materials. The classic Greek fret motif, chief decorative element in all interiors in the catalogue, is exquisitely embroidered on the white and fine quality leather of the armchair. The armrests have lacquered and satin-finish inserts that complete the overall feel of luxury, Italian craftsmanship and superior style. The ergonomic design, modelling the human form, and the armchair’s reclining capabilities enhance the feeling of matchless comfort.

Roberto Selva, Head of Versace’s Home Design Division says,"The design of this new armchair mirrors once more the excellence and luxury of the Versace brand which is reflected in every detail of large private jet interiors. Versace continues to represent Italian excellence and luxury not only within the fashion industry, but in every sector of exclusive design".

“When designing this piece from our catalogue, as with the first one, we did not just want to create an armchair; we wanted to create a design that reflects a lifestyle and brings out the art of living, which is the essence of the Versace brand and its design philosophy,” says Bijan Khezri, Managing Director of TAG Aircraft Interiors. “We are really proud to have completed this project and to have delivered once again to those flying in style on our promise of excellence made when the Versace/TAG partnership was formed.”

Versace and TAG-AI joined forces in April last year to create this exclusive interior design service catering to the needs of private jet owners. In this collaboration, Versace Design is responsible for all aspects of content, design and style, while TAG-AI with its 30 years experience as a world leader in the sale, completion and management of private jets, manages logistical and technical aspects of the interior completion contracts. Versace designers work with the customers to tailor their aircraft to their own individual tastes and needs.

TAG Aircraft Interiors, a subsidiary of TAG Group, which in turn is the parent company of TAG Aviation, is the supplier of the most exclusive aviation interiors in the world. The company's clients are owners of aircraft the size of Bombardier Challenger 600 Series and larger.

At Dubai Air Show: TAG Aviation Chalet: A28-29.
